Two year olds are very curious and busy little people. They are constantly on the move running and investigating everything in sight. The best toys for two year olds in 2009 are those that keep them just as busy and allow them to use their imaginations.
LEGO Duplo Blocks
Lego Duplo blocks are a great tool for creativity for your two-year-old. They are larger than the normal Legos, which makes them safe for kids who still put things in their mouths, and yet are still full of possibilities for playing using their imagination. There are many different sets, including some that are themed, such as Bob the Builder, circus, and zoo.
The Radio Flyer Wagon is an old time favorite. Don’t you remember walking through the neighborhood pulling your “little red wagon,” or being pulled along in it by your mother, father, brother, sister, or friend? It’s great for hauling your child’s other things around, and fun and useful for trips to the park or amusement park as well.
We mustn’t leave out toys that are especially attractive to little girls. At 2 years old they are little mimics and will copy grownup activities as often as they can get away with them. The best toy to get your two year old girl is a doll, with a toy stroller. She should be equipped with a diaper bag, change of clothes and a couple magic bottles. She’ll feel just like mommy while caring for her own little bundle of joy.
