If you are the parent tasked with creating games for your child’s Halloween party, sit back and relax. There are a ton of fun games to play that your child and their friends will enjoy on this scary night. Here are just a few that are sure to give your little ones a night to remember.

Pumpkin Bowling

First on the list is Pumpkin Bowling. Bowling is a great family past time, and with this spin it will be sure to bring cheers and thrills. Ask other guests in your party to save empty 2-liter coke bottles and bring them to you about a week before the party. Spray paint the bottles white and paint eyes and mouths on each. Add about a cup of sand or other material to the bottles. Buy about 4 or 5 small pumpkins.

Once at the party, divide kids up into teams of 3 or 4 each. Give them each a small pumpkin and tell them to start knocking over the ghosts. The team with the highest score can get a prize, or you can make it a little more challenging and have the teams who bowl a strike get a prize. Whichever way you make up your rules, kids are bound to enjoy this game!

Witch Hunt

This next game is easy to prepare. It is called the Witch Hunt and is similar to a scavenger hunt. Print out witch hats, about 3-5 per child. Color them the same color, with the exception of 2 or 3. Color these a separate color. Tells kids to find as many witch hats as they can. Those with the most hats can get a prize, and those with the special hats can also get a prize.

Build a Scarecrow game

The last game that is sure to bring laughter and fun to your child’s party is the Build a Scarecrow game. Divide guests into 2 teams and give them 20 minutes to create the funniest or scariest scarecrow they can. They must use whatever items they are given, but make sure to include pants, jackets, vests, shirts, etc. Make sure to have the pole and straw ready to go so all they have to do is actually put clothes on the scarecrow (put the scarecrows lower to the ground than usual so the little ones can reach!).

Happy Halloween 2010

Any of these games will definitely be a hit at your Halloween party! Be sure to have everything ready ahead of time so that you are not stressed on the day. If you have any other games for Halloween parties for young children, leave a comment below and let us know.

Happy Halloween!

Maybe a scary story time? Probably not a good idea to frighten them too much, but there is plenty of other things that can be done to make halloween fun for five year olds.

    Any other ideas out there?
